So remember how a while back, the idea was brought up for a VM t-shirt with proceeds going to Invisible Children?

Well, the awesome raelee has designed some shirts and now the store is up and running. You can check it out at http://www.printfection.com/invisiblevm. There are 2 different designs, both available in a variety of styles and colors. 5 dollars has been added to the base price of each shirt, and those 5 dollars will go directly to Invisible Children.

And because I can't go without mentioning how truly awesome our fandom can be, check this out.

Mods, feel free to delete this if this is against the rules or what not, but I'm really interested about the plane you guys hired last year to save the show. Where did you guys hire it from and how much did it cost? I've been looking, but I can't seem to find out where it was hired from and more information on it.

As many of you know, fans have gathered for the Bars for Mars campaign where there will be a shipment of chocolate bars and marshmallows being sent to Dawn Ostroff. People at http://theindianfoodstore.blogspot.com/ and http://scramblenetwork.wordpress.com/mars/ are trying to find out if anyone lives near the office and is willing to video tape when the shipment arrive so we can all view it.

Does anyone here live near the CW headquarters or knows of anyone that lives near there that's willing to videotape the shipment when it arrives?

Thanks so much,

OK, I have to say this absolutely thrills me. Even though it's late in the game and even if June 15th comes and goes, I feel like my little marshmallow campaign is rallying and that's really cool. I got an email from Rachel saying that she had sent my s'mores postcard to the people at TheIndianFoodStore when they added marshmallows to the stuff being sent to Dawn Ostroff for the Mars Bars campaign. From their blog:

2) We are in the process of getting some large posters printed out with "Save Veronica Mars". We are also mass print a very nice picture submitted to us (Thanks Rachel!) and stick it on each of the Mars boxes and just on the pallet in general. We'll plastic wrap the whole thing so that we can make sure they in place when it arrives! You can see the picture here: http://www.aliasgrace.com/mallow/s'mores.pdf

They are sending 350 pounds of marshmallows to the network and my "Veronica Mars, She's a marshmallow... and we want s'more" postcard plastered all over it and I'm completely elated. Anyway if any of you don't know about the campaign already (though I'm sure you do) and want to throw some money at it before Monday, here are the links:

And here, they're talking about it too:

Update, June 8th, 10:50pm:  Whoa, huge amount of new info… first off, Sachin needs ideas on where to get more marshmallows, or other products we should send! The whole pallette of stuff will covered in these great posters

One of the other message boards I frequent was promoting this site today BarsforMars.com

Our Mission, Your Effort:
To save "Veronica Mars" from cancellation by sending Dawn Ostroff (CW head) as many "Mars" chocolate bar wrappers as we can before June 15. Click on the image to the left for a printable PDF if you cannot afford to buy a chocolate bar. Or print out a JPEG to send.

I added a few pictures to my walk-on post. Enjoy!

I am the owner of the site veronicamarsmovie.com and I want to assure everyone here that I am in no way, shape or form attempting to have fans pay for a movie. I have posted on the website, information about how to email, call or write to the CW network and ways the fans can support the noble cause of Invisible Children. The only information I have regarding donations is to Invisible Children. I just wanted to reassure everyone that this website was designed purely for entertainment purposes and to show our support for the show. I realize that it is important to be wary on the internet and very much appreciate the mods of Cloudwatchers for posting warnings about anyone taking donations for a movie effort. It is not the fans duty to pay for a movie that Hollywood would produce. The only point to the site was to put some more information out there in a central location about things, simple things that the fans could do to let the CW know that we're still thinking fondly of Veronica. If you still have concerns about the nature of the site, please let me know how you think I could make it better. I am open to suggestions, thoughts and comments and I am in no way attempting to fleece the VM community.

The mods of cloud_watchers felt like we should clarify our feelings about a new idea that seems to be picking up steam elsewhere in the internet VM community. Some diehard fans, who we're sure are sincere, would love to raise some money to help Rob Thomas create a movie version of VM. Figures like, 15 or so million dollars have been mentioned over at Television Without Pity, and apparently The CW message board is getting some buzz too.

We feel very strongly that this is a dangerous idea because of the incredible logistics of producing a Hollywood feature, and the prospect of someone coming in who's real aim is to take advantage of sincere fans.

If Rob Thomas wants to make a movie, (which we have No idea if he even does), then he has the connections to make that happen. If someone asks you to donate money to help fund a VM movie, please remember to be careful. We think the reason our campaigns were so successful was because they started off small between people who'd met each other in real life and could vouch for the fact that they were real fans with a real interest in helping the show. Then when we had some success, we could provide photographic proof that we'd done what we said we were aiming to do. But how can someone prove to you they're going to hand over thousands of dollars to Rob Thomas himself for a theoretical movie?

PayPal gives a certain amount of protection, but we think that can even fail people. It was pointed out that it didn't seem to help many of the Firefly fans who lost money when Booster Events cancelled Flanvention 2 on the eve of the con.

So please be careful. Cloud Watchers, and our website WatchVeronicaMars.net, does not support these movie fund raising ideas.

If you have interest in showing your love for the show, we suggest you donate to Invisible Children instead, since we know that's a charity that is dear to the hearts of the VM people. We'll have more on that idea in a little while. Also see the post below this one about the t-shirt idea some members have come up with.
