Heh, I really need to read closer. I saw Alamo Drafthouse and immediately though this was in Austin. But I see there's one there, too. Now I *almost* wish I lived in Houston. ;)

I wish I could do something like this here in Miami. But we don't have anything like Alamo Drafthouse, and I don't think there are enough fans down here to make a big enough showing.

You might be surprised. My suggestion would be to go to www.watchveroniamars.net and post a Miami thread in the loctions forum. Then add the info to the various VM-related lj communities, such as cloud_watchers and veronica_mars.

That's what I did and I'm getting a lot of response. Plus, I tell everyone who emails me an rsvp for the Houston party that they could get an awesome prize for bringing the most "newbies" to encourgae them to bring their friends.

As far as a venue, find a local coffee shop or bar or have a party in your own house. Rent a high-end video projector and you're in business. Also, call universities in Miami to see if they have a screening space you could use. Couldn't hurt.

I wish we had enough addicts in Denver where it would make sense for us to rent a place and have an all out party! We'll still have a great time at Schnappy's (she makes cupcakes and has chocolate!), but the more people the definitely the merrier...I'm going to see what newbie gathering I can do here...

The point of having these premiere parties is to gain new viewers to the show on a region-by-region basis. Schnappy's party in Denver should be a lot of fun.

Veronica Mars Fan Video

Hi eirefaerie,


Remember me? I'm the person who organized the VM Season 3 premiere party? I am making a Veronica Mars fan video to help promote the show. I'll be shooting interviews with VM fans in Houston on Wednesday, March 28 from 9am till Noon at Rice University Media Center. Here's more info about the video.
In addition, the interviews will be sent to Slaverat Productions and could be used in a featurette about the "Fans of Veronica Mars" that will be included in the bonus materials of the season 3 dvd. Let me know if you want to be interviewed.

Hmm, maybe you should change the age though. I'm 16, and if I couldn't go unless I brought a parent, I wouldn't go. I think 13 or 14 is a good age. 18 is a little high.

Wish I could. The Alamo Drafthouse serves alcohol. They legally cannot allow anyone under 18 into the establishment without a parent or guardian. TABC rules, not mine.
